Home > About Us > website About the website Our website is a source of pride for all involved with Team 578. Team members, mentors, and leaders collaborate on the forums to discuss ideas, vote on issues, and bond. Every year the site is built by students, and this year there was no mentor help. The site was 100% student built. And we made all of it ourselves without any templates. We make it using Dreamweaver CS3 and used Fireworks CS3 for all the images. This year we have major changes. Some examples are: -Integration with the forums -An album photo system made with php -Article editing system In 2008 our website received the Best Website Award at the Boston Regional. We also received the Excellence Award which is given to every website that receives a grade of 80% or higher. After building so much of the site I have become really competent at php and I love it. And to think that 9 months ago I didn't know php and I had very little website experience. But because of FIRST and Blue Lightning I learned php and had so much fun doing it.(Even though I spent a couple hundred hours working on this site at home) Thank you FIRST for giving me this chance to find something I love you to. I will never forget it. Thank you |
