Dean`s Homework
Each year at the kickoff to build season FIRST founder Dean Kamen assigns homework to the teams. In past years this assgnment has included inviting politicians to visit teams and regionals,getting as much media attention as possible, or trying to get FIRST Robotics to be recognized as a sport ass valid as football or basketball.

This year teams have been asked to find as many alumni as possible during the next two years. At the end of the two years will be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of FIRST, and Dean Kamen plans to host some sort of party for all the former students who have participated in the FIRST program. This will also allow everyone to learn about the positive influence FIRST had on the lives of these individuals.

Blue Lightning is pursuing this task by a document known as "The Blue Pages". Created several years ago by Larry Herb who was on the a couple years back, The Blue Pages contain rosters going back to 1999, and through all three incarnations of the team: Kod Red, Fairport Intelligence Agency, and Blue Lightning. The team is hard at work trying to fill in the gaps to create a complete record of each participant including contact information, subteam, college, and eventual occupation.
