FIRST Tech Challenge:

The FIRST Tech Challenge (formally known as the FIRST Vex Challenge, FVC), FTC, is a another program designed for high school students. It came out of the existing Robotics Competition, except it has a more accessible and affordable robotics kit. It still is designed though to inspire and excite young people about science and technology. It started as an experimental program in 2005-06 as the Vex Challenge. In the summer of 2007, FIRST changed the name to Tech Challenge.
