The FIRST Lego League (FLL) is an introduction to the values of FIRST at a middle school level. Much like FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams, FLL teams are given a kit of parts at a kickoff event. At this kickoff, they are given the specific game for the year and the restrictions that go with it. The biggest difference between FLL and FRC is that FLL is open to middle school students, between the ages of 9 and 14, and their main building materials are Legos.
